Anime Themed Birthday Party Ideas
Embrace a culture craze with a Japanese anime-themed party. Host the most outrageous anime party on the block with preparation and planning.
Food Ideas
Food is necessary for both young and old party guests. The bento box is a growing craze among anime fans. Characters in popular anime shows are frequently seen eating from these traditional Japanese lunch boxes.
Purchase small boxes and separate compartments within the boxes with smaller containers. Put chicken wings, sushi, fried rice, egg rolls, salad, or edamame in bento boxes.
Traditional sushi hand rolls filled with a variety of meats and vegetables are a simpler food option. As an appetizer, a tray of edamame or bowls of traditional miso soup could be served.
Karaoke Party
Pump up the music for your anime-themed party. Karaoke should be a huge part of any anime celebration, but don’t settle for traditional karaoke. Set up a karaoke area with a large flat-screen television so party guests can sing with popular Vocaloids such as Hatsune Miku or Kagamine Rin.
These anime characters sing with synthetic voices but have a large following in the anime community. Vocaloid videos typically have song lyrics scrolling across the bottom of the screen as they perform, so plug a mic in the karaoke machine and belt out your favorite songs.
Party Favor Bags
Celebrate anthropomorphic anime characters with cat-ear headbands and tails, or make “Naruto”-inspired headbands out of fabric strips.
Allow guests to use permanent markers or paint pens to customize “Naruto” headbands. Make your own “Pokemon” balls with clear plastic Christmas ornaments and acrylic paint. Fill the balls with candy or small figurines of “Pokemon.”
