When to Send your Invitations?
Look, we’re all busy, and it’s difficult to find time for everything between school, work, sports, family, and extracurricular activities. Give your guests plenty of advance notice about your party plans.
For birthday parties, 4-6 weeks is usually sufficient. If it’s a big party (think Sweet 16, 21st birthday, or another significant milestone) and you want to make sure certain people can attend, you may want to confirm the date with them ahead of time, or at the very least give them more notice with your invitations.
Of course, you can also go too far in the opposite direction. Send out invitations no more than a few months in advance, or your guests may simply forget about the party! After all, can you locate a specific piece of mail from six months ago? Most likely not.
Remember that the main purpose of party invitations is to actually invite your guests. Cute, personalized, themed invitations are fun, and can get people excited for the party. Just make sure you include all of the relevant information in a clear, legible way.
