There is an absurd belief that a wedding should be huge, large-scale, and expensive. None of these requirements must be met. In reality, we should be able to plan our wedding exactly how we want it, free of the influence of critical friends and family members.
It doesn’t mean we have to spend $50,000 on our wedding day, or that yours would be any less important if you don’t. A small wedding may be immensely enjoyable, and a budget wedding can be classy!

Wedding shoes, as I understand it, are having a moment. But in fact, you’ll only wear them once because there aren’t many occasions that require white bedazzled heels after the marriage license is signed, and they’ll murder your feet the entire time because you were too afraid to wear them to break them in lest you scuff them by dashing into a door jam.
You’ll inevitably end the night with aching, filthy bare feet that you’ll have to scrub to death before letting them touch your pristine Brooklinen bedding, so let’s just be honest about what makes financial sense and keep it comfortable and budget-friendly in a good pair of sneakers.

Alternatively, there should be a plethora of reasonably priced venue options available in your neighborhood. Again, low-cost does not automatically imply low-quality.
Because size frequently reflects pricing, you should be able to secure a quality facility with fewer people in a smaller space.
If you’re stuck and need something special, a reputable and experienced event provider will assist you identify the best potential venues in the area.
Obviously, you could rent a beautiful villa overlooking a beautiful body of water with no assurance that the weather will allow you to have the outdoor ceremony you paid for with no discounts if it rains, but why would you do that when you can just remain at home and hang your Ikea art?
Who needs an expensive banquet hall with subpar fish and quinoa when you can cook an Instagram recipe at home? You’re already satisfied with the parking situation, the seating is pleasant, and you won’t get lost on your way there because you’ve been there before.
It’s your choice, but I’d rather spend my evenings reading a new female celebrity memoirs tell-all than arguing with a venue manager who just wants you to quiet up so she can get to yoga.
