Let’s just say my living room was not going to survive ten mini superheroes leaping over couches in combat boots. So we went with the backyard. Now, I don’t have a huge yard, but that didn’t stop us. I hung up red and blue balloons from the fence, used streamers to create a faux photo booth wall, and added cartoon-style “BOOM!” and “ZAP!” cutouts on everything from the dessert table to the cooler.

The highlight? The giant welcome sign from our free Captain America kit. It sat right by the gate, greeting each little hero as they entered “Captain Brandon’s HQ.” You should’ve seen the pride on his face every time a friend read that sign out loud.
You can use this template as backdrop for your son/daughter’s themed birthday!
If you’re planning your party indoors, don’t worry — these decorations work great inside too. You can create a “training area” in the living room using tape on the floor as obstacle courses, and hang comic banners from the ceiling.

Add a few printable shields and superhero speech bubbles, and boom — instant Avenger vibes. At the end of the day, it’s less about the space and more about the story you create. And in our case, Brandon’s backyard birthday felt like a scene straight out of a comic book.
