We decided to celebrate our daughter’s second birthday in Disney style due to her continuous infatuation with all things Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse.
After hosting a pink Minnie Mouse birthday party for her elder sister, I decided to throw a classic red Minnie Mouse birthday party for her younger sister, complete with loads of Mickey Mouse. I hope you’ll find my red Minnie Mouse birthday party ideas helpful.
Minnie Mouse Birthday Party Ideas
I was amazed at how hard it was to track down red Minnie Mouse these days. I love Minnie in pink, but I wanted traditional colors for this party. As a result, I opted to make a lot of the Minnie Mouse party decorations myself, utilizing red and white polka dots with black and yellow accents and simple Minnie and Mickey silhouettes.
Birthday Decorations
Guests were greeted by Minnie and Mickey with “Come inside, it’s fun inside” inscribed on their backs from the time they walked in.
The paper Minnie and Mickey heads, as well as the phrases, were cut out with my Cricut machine. The Mickey and Friends cartridge is no longer produced, however it can be found on eBay.
Despite the fact that I didn’t buy it for the party, my doormat matched the theme well.
My gallery wall was completely altered with red polka dot scrapbook paper and Mickey silhouettes. Because it’s so easy, I do it a lot for parties. I didn’t even take the photographs off the wall, just tapped the paper straight over the glass.
I added ears and a bow to black paper lanterns that hang over our bar area using double sided tape.
Minnie’s huge head was cut out of black foam board with great care. To draw the circles, I made a gigantic makeshift compass using two pencils, a paper clip, and twine. I used a Xacto blade to cut them out. I painted the edges with acrylic paint to disguise the white foam in the core.
To get to the party area, each attendee crawled through a “mouse hole” (hole in a cardboard box). A headgear with “mouse ears” was handed to them, and they were transformed into mice.
These were made by wrapping a black grosgrain ribbon around a headband and hot gluing two black craft foam mouse ear shapes to the top. A red and white polka dot ribbon was worn around the ears.
Birthday Invitations
I created the Minnie Mouse birthday party invitation to match with my party ideas. Of course, I couldn’t resist including Toodles and a handful of other key Mickey Mouse Clubhouse lines in a cute way. You want some? I’ve got you covered!
FYI, there are 7+ beautiful template designs which are so refreshing to watch. I can confidently say that you will not only cut the long process of sketching and designing your invitation card.

Extras
To make your card look like done by the professional, you can optimize your effort by buying either Cardstock or Cotton paper to help your special invites deliver sturdy and versatile feels, which makes it brilliant party favors and can be used as future references for your guests.
Birthday Cakes
We used a box mix for our Minnie Mouse cake, so it’s quite simple. Because the dark chocolate frosting covers it, you may make any flavor you want: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, or anything else.
Before trimming the tops, let the cakes cool fully. You want the heights of the three cakes to be equal. Use a serrated knife and save the extra cake; you’ll need it later.
Make your cakes: the large cake will serve as the head, while the two smaller cakes will serve as the ears. Dark chocolate icing was used on all of them.
Remember those leftover cake scraps during cake trimming? Make Minnie’s bow on top of the large cake with these.
Cover the bow in red icing after you’ve achieved the desired shape.
Finally, use a decorating bag to pipe polka dots onto your red ribbon with the remaining white frosting. On the middle of the cake, you can put a birthday message.
Party Games
A Minnie Mouse-themed birthday party will delight your little birthday girl and her friends because it is both enjoyable and entertaining. We’ll show you a dozen amazing Minnie Mouse games that won’t break the wallet. They’re all simple to make and don’t require a lot of materials or supplies.
Minnie Mouse Ring Toss
Go to the toy store and purchase a Minnie Mouse inflatable punching/bopping bag. These can usually be filled with sand or water in the base. In this version, you will need several hula-hoops which you will use as rings.
The goal is to try to land the rings on Minnie and the player/team with the most rings wins the round. Very little children will need assistance.
Minnie Mouse Pinata
Pinatas are a great activity because everyone wins. Check your local party shop for a Minnie Mouse Pinata. They should be easy to find, but if not, it won’t be a problem to order one beforehand, provided you give them adequate time.
Fill the pinata with different types of candy, small toys, bracelets, and the kind of costume jewelry little girls generally adore. Players will take turns wearing a blindfold and trying to whack and break open the pinata.
Minnie’s Dance Party
This is a fun Minnie Mouse version of “musical statues” or “Freeze”. Have all of your little mice dance, move, shimmy, or just jump around while the music plays. Stop the music periodically. When you stop the music, the players have to immediately freeze and remain frozen in place until the music starts again. Those who get caught moving when they shouldn’t be are out for the remainder of the round.
We hope our list of Minnie Mouse party ideas has given you some inspiration for your future Minnie Mouse themed party. We are confident that your little Minnie Mouse will have a great time with some creativity and better planning.
