We decided on a Totoro nursery as the ideal motif for the baby’s room while I was expecting my second kid.
When we learned that the baby would be our second girl, we came up with the ideal middle name: Mae, which is spelled differently but is the same name as the young girl from My Neighbor Totoro. It only made natural that My Neighbor Totoro was the first movie she truly finished watching from beginning to end. It also sprang to reason that she would choose Totoro as the theme for her second birthday when she was given the opportunity to choose.

I wanted to paint my own unique original Totoro-inspired artwork, but I ran out of time. I chose to insert this iconic moment from the film into a very simple customized invitation template. So adorable!

Additional Information
Printing paper comes with various kinds of textures, types and colors. You can get some information from the internet, or you can use our suggestion to pick cardstock paper as your printing material. Pick the thinner one as it’s a lot easier to deal with and you don’t need to have a custom print job from printing shop only if you are going to use the thicker cardstock paper.
