Sesame Street is a fantastic baby shower theme. Almost every kid I know, including mine, likes Sesame Street, and they especially enjoy Elmo! Sesame Street is an excellent educational channel for children.
Party Decorations
This party transports you to Sesame Street, or better yet, Varian Street, where the trees are made of chocolate, trash cans are edible, cheese and little nibbles are wrapped in wacky playful puppets, balloons smile, cupcakes come to life, and everyone is having a good time and loving the party!
Decorate the room in primary hues, similar to the colors of the characters. Use colorful balloons, and you can even draw faces on them to make them appear like your favorite characters. To make it more entertaining, add some Mylar Sesame Street character balloons.
Decorate the room with any Sesame Street characters you have. If you don’t have any, friends and family may have some because Sesame Street is such a big hit with kids.
Decorate the walls with entertaining Sesame Street phrases and even switch them around to match the shower.
Decorate a diaper cake with Sesame Street toys and outfits. You might also gather several Sesame Street toy animals and attach a balloon to each one.

Make amusing Sesame Street labels for the baby shower food, such as Cookie Monster’s Chocolate Chip Cookies, Oscar’s mud cake, Dorothy’s chicken salad sandwiches (cut with a fish shaped cookie cutter), Ernie’s Just Ducky Punch, and Elmo’s Friendly Garden Salad.
There are many sesame street party supplies available, and most birthday items do not say Happy Birthday, so they can be utilized for a baby shower.
