Party Decorations
Put wildflowers in mason jars and surround them with pinecones, acorns, or moss from your neighborhood craft store for a rustic floral arrangement. Each jar should have a burlap bow around it. If each table will have a centerpiece, stencil table numbers into the burlap ribbon.
Party Snacks
Cute Thumper rabbit tails can be made! Large marshmallows should first be dipped into melted white chocolate. The marshmallows should then be dipped into a bowl of shredded coconut and rolled around until completely covered and resembling fluffy rabbit tails. Don’t forget to dry them on wax paper before serving.
Party Favors
Give tasty, adorable acorn sweets to your visitors to take home. With a little bit of melted chocolate, attach chocolate candy kisses to vanilla wafer biscuits. Top the cookies with more melted chocolate and tiny peanut butter chips, and there you have it! You have tiny, delicious acorns that will delight visitors. After the chocolate has dried, put the acorns in transparent cellophane bags with ribbons that go with the shower’s color scheme.
All of the bright colors and the little solar powered flowers were a very clever addition as well, fun to create and take pictures with as well. The way the food was displayed and the items of food that were chosen went with the theme very well too.
Food included fruits and nuts, like what the animals would eat themselves and which were served in little wood dishes. I also really enjoyed the detailed note cards that were hung around the drink jars and how the tables were lined with little stumps of trees and the jumbo mushrooms.
Using little figurines of Bambi, Thumper, and Flower was a great way to decorate the cake and the cupcakes; it really added a lot to the whole baby shower and allowed the theme to flow through the whole party.
As well as the little rocks that trimmed the bottom of the cake, they were used by a stuffed animal of a rat, which made it look like he was eating, so it was just too cute. This theme was very clever and works perfectly for a boy or a girl.
