In addition, we recommend that you pick/buy any printing paper that weighs at least 80 lbs. Cardstock paper is the best one you can get on the market to be used as an invitation card. Paper that weighs around 100-110 lbs. will give a more professional look to your invitations. If you use 160 lbs. paper, you may get trouble when inserting it in your home printer.
Party Ideas
Upon first glance, Ferdinand could look like a ferocious bull, and most bulls are known for being rough, relentless, etc. However, Ferdinand isn’t like your ordinary bull. He doesn’t love to fight, he loves flowers, and he isn’t as aggressive as some might assume upon first glance.
In fact, through the duration of the film, Ferdinand isn’t the only character who shows his true colors other than what people may think of him. This lesson is great for kids as it teaches them early on that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
Party Decorations
In the main party area, I used bright paper flowers, a wooden ‘hola’ sign and pink streamers to decorate.
The kids’ table was decorated with faux cactus and succulents in mason jars of sand. I had little black bull statues from some of my travels to Spain that I also used on the tables.
For the adult table, I found these cute cactus table runners and used cactus plants that we already had in our house! The cups were a mix of acrylic tumblers.
Party Foods Ideas
We had a Spanish style lunch that included a meat and cheese plate, paella, garlic shrimp, fresh fruit, and more! A much simpler menu would work just as well. I went a little fancier with the menu this time since it was mostly adults at the party.
For dessert, our favorite local bakery made the cake, cupcakes, and cookies. The cake had two layers – cookies & cream and funfetti. The cupcakes were covered in buttercream succulents, and the sugar cookies were decorated to match!
