Xiaolin Showdown is an animated television show about a gang of four young Xiaolin monks named Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo, and Clay whose mission is to collect powerful treasures known as Shen Gong Wu while facing the wicked Jack Spicer and the old Heylin witch Wuya, who are also pursuing the artifacts. If your child likes kung fu, you should plan a Xiaolin Showdown party.
Party Decorations
Many karate, kung fu, and tae kwon do studios offer birthday packages at affordable prices. Or, if you have the space, hold the festivities at home: Drape the space in red, black, and white party decorations. Karate-themed paper goods may also be available at party-supply stores. Hand out black belts and red handkerchiefs for the guests to wear.

Colourful paper lanterns, hanging from the ceiling would add a lovely touch to your Kung Fu Panda inspired party space. Or string a set of battery-operated LED mini lanterns for some added sparkle. Alternatively decorate some plain white lanterns with patterns or Chinese symbols.
Party Activities
Consider hiring a martial artist to lead the beginners in a basic lesson and to present a demonstration. While only the instructor may be able to break through a 2-by-4 with his bare hand, the children will enjoy taking turns karate-chopping through balsa wood—an extremely lightweight material that’s available at lumber-supply centers and craft stores. Have the instructor perform during cake-cutting time by dramatically slicing through it with a samurai-type sword. Be sure to remind the children not attempt such a feat on their own.

Party Foods
Chinese food is the obvious choice for a Xiaolin Showdown party, but to ensure all your young kung fu fans enjoy it, keep it simple with some plain or fried rice, noodles, crispy chicken. Older kids may enjoy some chicken noodle soup.
For some party fun, why not give Homemade Fortune Cookies a go, and have some fun writing out Xiaolin Showdown inspired fortunes? Leave them plain or dip in melted white / milk chocolate and cover with sprinkles. You could even choose a sprinkle colour to match your party colour theme.
