Here’s where the fun hit full throttle. We didn’t want the typical birthday games. We wanted activities that felt straight out of Batman’s world—so I created a DIY “Hero Training Course” in the backyard. They had to jump over mini cones, crawl through a tunnel (made from a blanket and some chairs), and defeat inflatable villains (read: balloons with Joker faces). Every kid got a paper badge that said “Certified Gotham Hero” at the end.
But the biggest hit? The coloring corner. I printed out loads of free Batman coloring pages and set them up with crayons, stickers, and glitter glue. It was quiet time meets comic creation, and the kids loved showing off their masterpieces to each other.

Even the grownups joined in. One of the dads colored the Batmobile entirely in rainbow colors and said it was “Pride Gotham.” We were rolling with laughter. Everyone got involved, which made it even more special. Now, with every great party comes a warm goodbye.
