If your child has an autumn birthday, why not organize a movie-watching party like Hotel Transylvania 4 ? Have everyone gather at your house before or after the movie, provide a few tasty refreshments, and plan a fun activity or two, and you’re good to go! Here’s a collection of party ideas to spark your imagination; mix and match to your heart’s desire!
Party Decorations
We chose usual Halloween colors that also happened to match the characters from the movie (Blobby, Drac, Winnie, Dennis, and so on) for the decor of our movie party: orange, purple, green, and black.
We set up a table with Halloween party food, fully decked with dinnerware and pumpkins to fit the color scheme of our party.
Backdrops
We made a balloon garland in our party color scheme for the table backdrop. You may make a similar garland by hanging balloons of various sizes onto a piece of string. The string should then be hung on your wall using wall hooks. Once on the wall, hot glue smaller balloons to fill in the spaces.
Balloons Garland
The balloon garland is a simple decor piece that adds a wow factor to any blank wall. It took us (two people) about an hour to put together, from blowing up the balloons to hanging the garland on the wall. Obviously, if you have extra support, you can reduce the time significantly.
Party Treats
We had to serve popcorn because it was a movie night! But only in charming Hotel Transylvania popcorn boxes. These printable popcorn boxes enhance the movie experience, and guests may customise theirs with the sweets available (my favorites were the gummy bats and eye balls!)
We also supplied “monster punch” (mint cordial) in small drink bottles with downloadable bottle wrappers.
To round out our snacks table, we produced “Blobby” green jello shots, which were inspired by one of the bonus content dishes included with the Blu-ray disc. Isn’t it a lot of fun? The kids adored it!
Snack Ideas
Every party theme necessitates some entertaining appetizers. We came up with a few that I think you’ll enjoy!
Eunice
We took our guacamole and transformed it into Eunice.
We used blue and white chips for the hair, a pepper for the big red lips, and black olives sliced up for the eyes, eyelashes, and earrings. I believe it turned out wonderful.
Blobby
Blobby is a simple snack to translate. Simply create some green Jell-O and place it in clear cups, then add some edible candy eyes. Simple and entertaining!
Dracula
Nobody can mistake this smile! Those fangs belong to Drac.
