If I’ve learned anything from five years of mom life, it’s this: if you don’t have a game plan at a birthday party, those tiny guests will organize their own “Battle Royale.” So, once the cake crumbs were brushed off and little hands were wiped (kind of), we moved on to games — and this is honestly where some of the sweetest memories happened.
First up, we played a Bluey classic: “Keepy Uppy.” Just like in the show, the kids had to keep a balloon from touching the ground. At first, it was total chaos. Balloons flying, kids laughing so hard they could barely stand up — it was pure, beautiful mayhem. I couldn’t stop giggling watching my husband get super serious about it, diving across the floor to save a balloon like he was in the Olympics.
But the real hit of the day?
The Bluey Coloring Station.
I had printed out a bunch of free Bluey coloring pages I found online (seriously, total lifesaver when you’re trying to keep a group of little ones entertained!), and set up a cute little “Art Corner” in the corner of the room. I laid out crayons, markers, and even a few glitter pens—for the brave souls willing to embrace the sparkle chaos.

The kids absolutely loved it, and it gave the grown-ups a much-needed moment to sip their coffee in peace while the little artists went to town! At first, I worried they might not be into it. But let me tell you — those kids loved sitting down, comparing their masterpieces, and proudly showing off their wild rainbow-colored Bingo dogs.
