“(Spoiler: Both Work Wonders)”
I’ll admit, for a split second, I considered booking a fancy party venue. Something with a city skyline view and professional lighting to match the Miles Morales vibe. But then I looked at the price tag and immediately closed the browser tab. Truth is, you don’t need a rooftop in Brooklyn to make a Spider-Man party feel legit. You just need some imagination—and maybe a few bungee cords for the decorations.

I ended up using both our backyard and living room. The living room was transformed into the Spider HQ—a calm zone where guests could drop gifts, grab masks and stickers, and check out Brandon’s epic Spider-themed coloring table (more on that later). The backyard? That was our main event zone.
We strung up black and red streamers across the fence to mimic swinging webs, and I even used a projector to cast a moving city skyline across the side of our house after sunset. The kids thought it was real, and one of them shouted, “Miles is watching us!”

Every corner had something to do. A “Web-Slinging Zone” for silly string battles. A “Multiverse Maze” made with hanging ribbons and cardboard tunnels. And my personal favorite: the “Villain Capture Corner,” which was really just a photo booth with props like mustaches, masks, and capes—but the kids were into it.
And speaking of cake… we’ll get there soon. But next, we’re diving into decorations, superhero-worthy snacks, and the one coloring game that had even the shyest kids yelling, “I drew Miles Morales!”
